1. Sustainability

  • Definition: The ability to meet present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, encompassing environmental, social, and economic dimensions.

2. Carbon Footprint

  • Definition: The total amount of greenhouse gases, primarily carbon dioxide, emitted directly or indirectly by an individual, organization, event, or product.

3. Compliance

  • Definition: Adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines, and specifications relevant to business operations.

4. GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

  • Definition: A regulation in the European Union law on data protection and privacy for individuals, which also addresses the transfer of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas.

5. CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)

  • Definition: A state statute intended to enhance privacy rights and consumer protection for residents of California, USA.

6. Fleet Utilization

  • Definition: The percentage of time that a rental car fleet is in use, indicating how efficiently the fleet is being managed.

7. HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment)

  • Definition: A set of practices and regulations focused on ensuring the health, safety, and environmental protection of employees and the public.

8. AML (Anti-Money Laundering)

  • Definition: A set of laws, regulations, and procedures designed to prevent criminals from disguising illegally obtained funds as legitimate income.

  • Definition: The process of defining an organization’s strategy or direction and making decisions on allocating resources to pursue this strategy.

16. Best Practices

  • Definition: Commercial or professional procedures that are accepted or prescribed as being correct or most effective.

17. Incident Investigation

  • Definition: The process of examining an incident to identify the causes and prevent future occurrences.

18. Continuous Improvement

  • Definition: An ongoing effort to improve products, services, or processes through incremental and breakthrough improvements.

19. Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

  • Definition: Strategies and technologies used by companies to manage and analyze customer interactions and data throughout the customer lifecycle.

20. Eco-friendly Vehicles

  • Definition: Vehicles designed to have a minimal impact on the environment, often utilizing alternative fuels such as electricity or hybrid technologies.
